My Husband Will Call Me Tomorrow

February 20, 2007 0xanna

This article is a touching story about a mother named Becky Herz. She is trying to raise a family while her husband is away. Her husband serves in the National Guard and everyday she must live with the thought that he will call her tomorrow. In her testimony she talks about an ordinary day for her. She must take care of the family on her own. She mus carry on thinking everything is fine. She must believe that her husband will call her tomorrow.

I loved this story because it reminded of a stream of consciousness, which it might have been. It’s touching how that women can just live on, knowing that her husband is in the middle of a terrible war. It kind of taught me a lesson. People can’t reflect on the bad. When they are unsure of what is happening, they should always focus on the postive. I for one believe that this story is not only a testament of one women’s belief, but also a reflection of how others should see things. After all, she wouldn’t express herself if it wasn’t working.

I read this essay also. I thought that it was really good and I really liked how she wrote it. She repeated certain lines at different parts of the essay, but it made it sound good. I cant even imagine what it is like to have a loved one in war right now. It must be crazy and its amazing how much courage that she has.

This essay was a really good essay, the woman wrote it very well, and i felt so bad for her. It must be really hard for her to live that way every day. She has a lot of faith and trust.
